About Me

I graduated Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Ag. Journalism and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of North Texas in Applied Communications. I began work at one of Fortune’s best companies in America - Nordstrom. While there, I worked my way from salesperson to regional director and wrote the company’s newest sales training while launching new businesses for by-appointment and in-home sales services.

Nearly 8 years later, I left for another of Fortune’s top companies - The Container Store where I finished out the decade as a Training Director providing leadership development, sales training, and launching a new business unit, in-home organizing services.

I started a consulting business helping midsize companies foster the amazing culture and employee engagement I learned from my time at Nordstrom and The Container Store. I continued full-time employment leading Human Resources and People Operations at Texas AirSystems, Park Place Dealerships, New Western, and Sherman Bridge Lending.

In 2020, I grew my consulting business with the completion of my PhD in Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas to include academic appointments and research at SMU Cox School of Business and UNT G. Brint Ryan School of Business.

Today, I enjoy consulting with midsize companies providing fractional CHRO services, and leadership development.
